We recommend uninstalling anti-virus products of other vendors prior to installation of Neo Security Suite to avoid software conflicts.
Question: Neo Security Internet Suite does not rescan files that have been scanned earlier. Why?
This is true. Neo Security Suite does not rescan files that have not changed since the last scan.
That has become possible due to new iChecker and iSwift technologies. The technology is implemented in the program using a database of file checksums and file checksum storage in alternate NTFS streams.
Question: Why do I need the license key file? Will Neo Security Internet Suite work without it?
Neo Security Suite will run without a license key, although you will not be able to access the Updater and Technical Support.
If you still have not decided whether to purchase Neo Security Suite, we can provide you with a trial license that will work for two weeks or a month. Once that time has elapsed, the key will expire.
Question: After the installation of Neo Security Internet Suite the operating system started “behaving” strangely (“blue screen of death”, frequent restarting, etc.) What should I do?
Although rare, it is possible that Neo Security Suite and other software installed on your computer will conflict.
In order to restore the functionality of your operating system do the following:
- Press the F8 key when the computer just started loading until the boot menu is displayed.
- Select the Safe Mode item and load the operating system.
- Open Neo Security Suite.
- Use the Settings link in the main window and select the Protection section in the program settings window.
- Uncheck Launch Neo Security Suite at startup and click OK.
- Reload the operating system in the regular mode.
After this contact the Technical Support Service through the Neo Technology’s corporate website (Services à Technical Support). Describe in detail the problem and the circumstances in which this problem occurs.
Make sure that you attach to your question a file containing a complete dump of Microsoft Windows operating system. In order to create this file, do the following:
- Right-click My computer and select the Properties item in the shortcut menu that will open.
- Select the Advanced tab in the System Properties window and then press the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery section.
- Select the Complete memory dump option from the drop-down list in the Write debugging information section of the Startup and Recovery window. By default, the dump file will be saved into the system folder as memory.dmp. You can change the dump storage folder by editing the folder name in the corresponding field.
- Reproduce the problem related to the operation of Neo Security Suite.
- Make sure that the complete memory dump file was successfully saved.

Question. How do I scan my computer for viruses?
After installation, the program will without fail inform you with a special notice that the computer has not yet been scanned and will recommend that you scan it for viruses immediately.
Neo Security Suite includes a task for a computer virus scan. It is located in the program's main window in the Scan section.
After selecting the task with the name My Computer, you will be able to view statistics for the most recent computer scan in the right-hand part of the main window and task settings: what level of protection was selected and what actions will be taken for dangerous objects.
To scan your computer for malicious programs,
Click the Scan button in the right-hand part of the screen.
As a result, the program will start scanning your computer, and the details will be shown in a special window. When you press the Close button, the window with information on the scan progress will close, although the scan will continue.
Question. How frequently do I have to update my Neo Security?
Keeping protection updated is a prerequisite of reliable protection of your computer. Because new viruses, Trojans, and malicious software emerge daily, it is important to update regularly the application to keep your information constantly protected.
Updating of the application implies that the following components will be downloaded and installed on your computer:
• Threat Signatures and network drivers
• Application Modules
Updates can be downloaded in one of the following modes:
• Automatically. Neo Security Suite checks the update source for updates at specified intervals. During virus outbreaks, the check frequency may increase, and decrease when they are gone. If it finds new updates, Anti-Virus downloads them and installs them on the computer. This is the default setting.
• By schedule. The application is updated in accordance with the specified schedule.
• Manually. You launch the updating procedure manually.
Question. Where do I find general information about the program?
You can view general information on the program in the Service section of the main window.
All the information is broken into three sections:
- Program version, date of last update, and the number of threats known to date are displayed in the Product info section.
- Basic information on the operation system installed on your computer is shown in the System info box.
- Basic information about the license you purchased for Neo Security Suite is contained in the License info section.

Question. How do I renovate my license?
Neo Security Suite needs a license key to operate. You are provided with a key when you buy the program. It gives you the right to use the program from the day you purchase it and install the key.
Without a license key, unless a trial version of the application has been activated, Neo Security Suite will run in one update mode. The program will not download any new updates.
If a trial version of the program has been activated, after the trial period expires, Neo Security Suite will not run.
When the license key expires, the program will continue working, except that you will not be able to update threat signatures. As before, you will be able to scan your computer for viruses and use the protection components, but only using the threat signatures that you had when the license expired. We cannot guarantee that you will be protected from viruses that surface after your program license expires.
To avoid infecting your computer with new viruses, we recommend extending your Neo Security Suite license. The program will notify you two weeks prior to the expiration of your license. For two weeks the program will display this message every time you open it.
To extend your license, you must obtain a new activation code. To do so:
